Research Advancement Workshops and Trainings

We offer support to build a sponsored research program.

San Diego State University's Research Advancement team offers a robust core of training programs for faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students to learn best practices on how to find and pursue funding, write successful grant proposals, communicate their research effectively, build rapport with grant officers and run a sponsored research program.

Grants Research and Enterprise Writing (GREW) Workshop Series

The GREW workshop series helps faculty and postdoctoral researchers prepare better grant proposals and navigate the proposal development process, including interacting with grant program officers.

Communications Training for Academics

DRI offers support to improve communication and public speaking skills for researchers through the SPEAC workshop.

MCTEN Workshops

SDSU's Community of Faculty Access and Excellence

MCTEN offers workshops focused on topics requested by the scholar community such as AI, industry partnerships, and graphics.

During writing retreats near the San Diego Bay, scholars gather together to work on projects.

SDSU Research Foundation Workshops

Workshops are designed to provide faculty, principal investigators, and staff with information and resources to assist with developing and submitting proposals and managing grant awards through the SDSU Research Foundation. Sign ups are released each semester for the Zoom workshops.
