The 2026 Southern California Conference for Undergraduate Research (SCCUR) annual meeting will be hosted in-person at San Diego State University on Nov. 21, 2026. The 2026 theme is "Upholding Discovery: The Indispensable Role of Research."

SCCUR is open to all undergraduate students across all disciplines and from any institution, including those outside of Southern California.

Submit an Abstract for SCCUR 2026

Abstract Submissions

There are two opportunities to submit abstracts to SCCUR 2026. Abstracts submitted in both submission windows will be reviewed and either accepted or rejected.

Closed Jul. 31

Early Bird Abstract Submission Window

Abstracts submitted in this window will receive a guaranteed decision on abstract acceptance or rejection in time to take advantage of the discounted Early Bird Registration (which closes in late October).
Aug. 1 - Oct. 9, 2026

Regular Abstract Submission Window

Abstracts submitted in this window are not guaranteed a decision on abstract acceptance or rejection by Oct. 23, 2026 (when the discounted Early Bird Registration closes).

 

Register for SCCUR

Student presenters and their supporters are encouraged to attend the Southern California Conference for Undergraduate Research. Ticket prices vary depending on time of registration and role. No refunds will be offered for registration fees paid.

Regular Registration

  • All SCCUR presentations

Student presenters MUST register by Nov. 8 at the latest.
Jul. 31 - Nov. 21, 2026

General Attendee Registration

Supporter Registration Cost: $40
Included:
  • All SCCUR presentations
  • College and Industry Fair
Kids 12 and under are free!

Group Registration

For groups interested in purchasing 10+ student registrations (pricing at $90/student), contact the 2026 SCCUR team via email ([email protected]) for more information by Oct. 1.

SDSU Students Only: Registration Fee Waiver

SDSU student presenters can request waive $90 in registration costs. If interested, SDSU student presenters should submit a waiver request form. Fee waivers are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration Refund Policy

We are not able to offer any refunds for registration. All registration fees are non-refundable.

Reviewers and Volunteers

Please register on Whova if you are interested in reviewing abstracts or volunteering during the conference.

College and Industry Fair

We welcome graduate programs, companies, non-profits and other community partners to exhibit as part of the College and Industry Fair on Nov. 21.
