Southern California Conference for Undergraduate Research 2026
The 2026 Southern California Conference for Undergraduate Research (SCCUR) annual meeting will be hosted in-person at San Diego State University. The 2026 theme is "Upholding Discovery: The Indispensable Role of Research."
Abstract Submission Periods
Eary Bird Abstract Submission Window
Open Now 2026 - Jul. 31, 2026: Abstracts submitted in this window will receive a guaranteed decision on abstract acceptance or rejection before Early Bird Presenter Registration closes
Regular Abstract Submission Window
Aug. 1, 2026 - Oct. 9, 2026: Abstracts submitted in this window are not guaranteed a decision on abstract acceptance or rejection before Early Bird Presenter Registration closes
Registration
Early Bird Registration: $90 if register betwen Jul. 31, 2026 and Oct. 23, 2026
Regular Registration: $100 if register between Oct. 24, 2026 and Nov. 21, 2026
Both early bird and regular registration include lunch and professional development. Students who are not presenting but would like to attend professional development and get lunch should also register.

Please fill out our interest form if you are interested in reviewing abstracts or volunteering during the conference.
Important Dates
Open Now: Call for abstracts opens. Abstracts are reviewed by faculty from appropriate disciplines and are accepted, returned for revision, or declined.
Jul. 31, 2026: Registration opens for all attendee types
Oct. 9, 2026: Final day to submit abstracts
Oct. 23, 2026: Last day to get Early Bird registration discount
Nov. 21, 2026: SCCUR 2026 Conference from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at San Diego State University, Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.
