The Division of Research and Innovation organizes several events to assist students and their mentors engaging in research, scholarship and creative activities.

SURP Kickoff Meeting for Summer and Summer + Fall Tracks

All mentors and mentees for the Summer or Summer + Fall tracks of the SDSU Undergraduate RSCA Program are required to attend this kickoff meeting for an overview of the program and due dates for mid-program reports.

When: Jul. 1, Noon - 1 p.m.

Where: Leon Williams Room (Love Library 430-431)

Summer Professional Development

Join mentors and mentees in the SDSU Undergraduate RSCA Program to learn valuable skills for advancing in RSCA careers. The topic of this session is how to communicate effectively about your research, scholarly, or creative project.

When: Jul. 29, Noon - 1 p.m.

Where: Leon Williams Room (Love Library 430-431)

U-RSCA Summer Social

Join mentors and mentees from multiple SDSU student RSCA support programs to celebrate progress made over the summer term. Mentees can present rapid talks or posters, or just attend to network with the larger university RSCA community. Snacks will be provided.

When: Aug. 19, Noon - 1:30 p.m.

Where: Leon Williams Room (Love Library 430-431)

Office Hours with Student Mentors

Need guidance on your project or have questions about undergraduate research, scholarship or creative activities? Join our student mentors during their office hours to ask your questions! These sessions provide one-on-one mentorship and support for students who are looking to get involved or who are already involved.

RSVP for Office Hours (RSVP is not required, but you will receive an email reminder if you do RSVP).

Office Hours are held on Zoom, or in-person in the Gateway Center if you indicate a preference for meeting in-person via RSVP.
