DRI is working closely with SDSU Student Health Services, the SDSU Research Foundation, Environmental Health and Safety and other university units to monitor and respond to coronavirus (COVID-19) developments and updated health guidelines. Please check back regularly for updates.
Visit SDSU’s coronavirus website, which is the central repository for information and updates related to SDSU’s preparedness, guidance and decisions related to COVID-19.
Ongoing COVID-19 safety precautions:
- Facial coverings are required when in public-facing indoor settings and all indoor settings, including research spaces when students, visitors and/or research subjects are present. For more details, read SDSU's facial coverings policy in full.
- California State University (CSU) system requires the COVID-19 vaccine for students, faculty, and staff, including auxiliary employees in order to access campus this fall.
- For more information on how to verify your and/or your employees' vaccination status or to learn about exemptions, see instructions for registering and using for HealtheConnect.
- All students must provide proof of vaccination or be tested for COVID-19 every 7 days. Students should verify university clearance prior to each work shift by showing clearance medallions to research leaders.
- Any positive COVID-19 incidents must be reported to the university using the Case Reporting Form. If the individual is an SDSU Research Foundation employee, they must also inform their HR business partner and report using the SDSURF Case Reporting Form.
- If personnell have COVID-19 symptoms they should not come to campus.
- All in-person research, scholarship, community service, and creative activities that is done in-person at SDSU, SDSURF, or field sites must be evaluated and the projects approved prior to initiating any of these activities using OnBase.
