The SDSU Mission Valley Innovation District will be the home for entrepreneurship and invention in San Diego. It includes approximately 1.6 million square feet of office, technology and research space and the beautiful Entrepreneurship & Innovation Hub designed for the exchange of ideas.
Developed primarily through public-private partnerships, the Innovation District will facilitate internships, create new educational experiences, inspire innovative discoveries and advance technology.
With Snapdragon Stadium, 80 acres of parks and open space, housing and transit easily accessible nearby, this will be a desirable, centrally located place for San Diegans to live, work and play.
The 2024 Class includes founders from San Diego and around the world.
Their companies are revolutionizing industries including food and beverage, senior living, and fan experiences through artificial intelligence.

The in-person Techstars San Diego powered by SDSU accelerator program supported 12 companies.
The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Hub will house all of the entrepreneurship programs SDSU offers:
- Techstars San Diego powered by SDSU
- the Lavin Entrepreneurship Center
- the Zahn Innovation Platform (ZIP) Launchpad
This building will be in the heart of the action in the SDSU Mission Valley Innovation District, facilitating new partnerships with nearby businesses, non-profits and researchers. Developers are aiming for it to achieve high LEED certifications with plans to include spaces for meetings and events as well as a gym.
SDSU Mission Valley is being designed as a vibrant, medium-density, mixed-use, transit-oriented development that will transform the university and the City of San Diego.
SDSU Mission Valley will be a community asset, expanding the university’s educational, research, entrepreneurial, and technology programs and supporting community engagement.
Snapdragon Stadium is a 35,000-capacity multipurpose venue owned by San Diego State University and managed by OVG360.
As part of SDSU Mission Valley, Snapdragon Stadium serves as a year-round entertainment destination and hub of community engagement. The venue is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification and manages sustainability efforts as a top priority. Snapdragon Stadium is home to SDSU Aztec Football, San Diego Wave FC of the National Women’s Soccer League, the San Diego Legion of Major League Rugby, and San Diego's Major League Soccer team.
In addition to tenant events, Snapdragon Stadium will host a myriad of events including concerts, festivals, dirt shows, international sporting events, championships, community events, and more.
